We are a small farm in Lancaster Texas. We began breeding Nigerians in a quest for a healthy alternative to antibiotic laden commercial milk for our family. As we researched we leaned more and more toward the Nigerian for it's ease of care, it's creamy, delicious milk and it's calm, sweet personality. We bought our first four goats from Piddlin Acres and got started.
Of course, if you want milk you have to have a breeding program and if you have a breeding program you need to do your best to make it a good one. So, in order to increase our knowledge as well as our contacts we began to show our goats. The have done remarkably well, and Reality Check, a buckling from this year, took Jr Grand Champion at only 6 weeks old!
Our herd is CAE negative and dual registered with the American Goat Society as well as the Nigerian Dwarf Goat Association. Our emphasis is on breeding a dairy animal with excellent conformation and temperment.
UPDATE: Our house is for sale! It is 4,300 sq ft of AWESOME...and all ready set up for goats! 3 stall doe barn, buck area, milking area.would make a great bed and breakfast!.. email for more information
